Bleach 20th Anniversary Promo? and Live! Tonight! Sold Out! VHS Variation? - Sickboy - 04-10-2023
I finished adding my complete to Discogs and apart from the usual items not yet on Discogs I'm still puzzled by two items. If anybody can give me info or their opinion I'd be glad, thannks :-)

Looks like part of https://www.discogs.com/release/2145621-Nirvana-Bleach but it's sealed on its own and I vaguely remember buying this as promo.

Apart from an additional yellow FSK sticker on box where FSK warning already is this clearly is https://www.discogs.com/release/1705921-Nirvana-Live-Tonight-Sold-Out. However the label on the VHS is printed in black and white (+ rather badly). Quality of everything else looks very good so I doubt that this is a counterfeit but I don't know.

My thoughts:
BLEACH
If I recall, there aren’t many promos of this release.
Maybe, the label decided to sent advance copies by using the retail variation., saving on annoying costs.
I would bet that the CD inside is nothing more than the regular edition.
I might be wrong, but there around this time there is a shift on how to approach the media by the labels; first, by using CD-Rs (Lithium is a good example), lately just regular editions, and last, no copies at all.
This happened with Nirvana, but also with many other artists.

My thoughts are:
- is a booklet also included? If so, I would say that it is official (as the extra cost to produce this would be avoided by counterfeiters)
- the sticker is also a good clue, why would a counterfeiter add the cost of producing it?
- regarding the label on the tape, this might be a fast reissue with no value for quality(?) using existing sleeves?
As we know, GEFFEN made loads of cash with this release (from Japan to Australia or Spain to East Asia). For a simply VHS, there are dozens of editions (from 3 laserdiscs, loads of DVDs, and promos).
Meanwhile, what is your username on Discogs?
Would it be possible to be possible to check that list?

Regarding the Bleach it'll be great to hear from others but your point sounds pretty solid.
LTSO: no, there's no booklet but over the years this may just have gone missing. Would be great to hear from others if there are more with black and white labels.

my thoughts on the LTSO:
Were these ever issued in anything more than a basic cardboard sleeve? - because I don't recall ever seeing that.
My knee-jerk reaction on the bleach was that the number printed on the sleeve is the real clue;
Mine has no number - and as suggested this might be an ultra low cost way of getting the album out for early reviews (sent as promo withough book and tri-folding case).
