One thing is certain, with this result the LB test pressing is one of the most expensive records ever sold… up there with The Beatles and Robert Johnson’s 78s! (Wu-Tang Clan's Once Upon a Time in Shaolin CD is beyond absurdity!!!!)

Ps - one last thought, the way these items are presented at auction also increases substantially their value - VMG grading and the items being ‘ultrasonically’ sealed in patented cases (??!) A great gimmick!! Following a similar approach to playing cards, comics, etc.

I'm generally not a fan of the grading stuff. I see it a lot in videogame collecting. Take a $100 game, pay $25 to get it graded, put it on eBay for $400. Go and die.

$1,464 is okish actually, highest sale on Discogs was 2000 € (!) in 2023 and lowest price currently for sale is about 2.200 €...

That LB TP is totally crazy for sure but with that history not too unexpected.

OTG for ~ 1 grand sunds about right, do you guys think it should sell for more?

I think that's about right for non-Sub Pop tps.

It was the price I had in mind when I first saw the auction, though £500 would be a more acceptable price.
I guess the buzz around the LB test pressing also helped to inflate the OTG final price.

Regarding the swirl red/white, I could see it go for $2,000 if sealed (though, still a stupid price).

I wonder how much the swirl black/white would fetched… as only one copy is known(?)

Speaking of Discogs, a 1st issue clear US bleach tape was sold within a day - for $250! The one before that sold within hours for £90 (last year). I'm curious where this will end...
