Just got another copy of the SLTS German 12" picture disc to replace my previous one that was warped and had a scratch on side B that would get stuck during EIHY. Going to turn the old one into a clock and hang it above my door.
For the first time in a longtime got some new records, completing two series - very happy man

 Photos pls Yep, prices are crazy for these, indeed. Regarding your missing poster, I have seen one on sale in the past. So, there is hope to complete the set. If I recall, it was an unfold poster (around £100-130??? maybe...?) The black version is really a pain to get... and more frustrating is the quality of the sleeves. Fortunately, my copies are all EX- to Mint, but I was lucky (hours of searching for a nice copy). For some reason, the blue Sub Pop is also really hard to find (I am still missing it, plus the white/red). Around 3/4 years ago there was one or two members of the previous forum buying white/red versions like you and I buy candy in the corner shop. I blame these people for this crazy prices. If, I recall one of them had 3 or 4 copies. But who am I to say anything. Anyone does whatever they want with their money... though life for a longtime collector gets harder and harder. Even sadder is the fact that these collectors are gone... they simply dissapeared. Let's hope that prices will go down soon. The Waterfront set took me >10 years to complete... probably also because I went after the good conditions - No split seams.
The “gold stamp” promo versions of Nevermind and In Utero have a stamp over the barcode... see attached. Family pics to come...

i saw that red and white splatter sold after the fact.
it was nice too. a guy that i just bought my marble blue sp34 from, he used those proceeds to help buy splatter 500/500. so in a way im connected to that number. and just yesterday, he picked up another sealed set that eil had just listed. he currently owns 6 red and white splatters, a few are still sealed. ill keep looking and my splatter will show up when the times right.hes a pretty cool guy! has a great collection. im very envious of his iceberg! he had a white sliver but i believe he swapped that for a sliver tp, but i could be wrong about what he swapped it for. still to dump a white sliver for something else, thats unreal! i directed him here. he said he was hoping that someone would create a splatter owners list. its too bad about the belgium board going black...so many great photos lost! >l |
