I just opened a sealed copy of 1993 US In Utero Clear and 1992 US Incesticide Blue marble because the shrink was “shrinking” and starting to bend and warp the covers. I had to do that with a UK 12” HSB single recently too. I don’t have good luck with older sealed vinyl. And after opening several 25+ year old records now, it no longer bothers me to do so.

I tend to open everything. I believe that I only have a few sealed (Nevermind MFSL LP and Lithium 12” w/ T-shirt).
