No idea. Surprised that the Japanese had the humor to write "promotional bootleg copy". Somebody must have been fired for that.

I agree with both. On one side, the Japanese have a different approach to things. On the other, it looks really fake.
Though it comes with a MCA Victor promo sticker.

The date on the back of the box says 1992. I doubt any long boxes were being used anywhere in the world by 2004.
