The disc looks official (from what I can see on the tiny picture). I think it's official, with a small print defect on the insert.

I am wondering if there has ever been (in the decades since this pressings intended total destruction) an accurate estimation on the number of these out there.
For a long time these were nearly mythical, then around the time I got mine, it was as though sellers found it was "safe" to distribute them... then the eBay seller in Korea happened, and made everyone excited... I am sure I placed shill bids on several of his copies (kind of like how I would do bids on 'Love Buzz', and ended up with my copy!). I was astonished while ago to see that the 12" yellow SLTS records is purported to only be a run of four hundred - I am wondering if this single is rarer than this. I have never seen a very large owners list - nothing coming close to the list(s) for Love Buzz.

I also remember reading somewhere on 400 odd copies of the yellow SLTS and they were fairly easy to find. The sellers would call it gold vinyl to inflate the price.
Regarding the PRT, I bet it keeps appearing has sellers think the price can go high. Recently there was copy on eBay for months and no one touched it - £400(?) or so. I reckon a fair price, if we think of the recent crazy prices of certain less important items. Numbers? Who knows?? Maybe only a retired DGC employee/distributor. The estimate figure of a few hundreds seems correct. Any thoughts?

Wasn't the 400 copies yellow SLTS story from that dude who had the fake Nevermind USA first pressing story. He got info from DADC employee, he said, but all seemed like hogwash to me and completely disproven by the DIDX 1 pressing which later surfaced.
And the yellow SLTS was made by SRC anyway, so why would that fictive DADC CD pressing employee know anything about it...

I think that there has to be a paper trail somewhere; There would have to be paperwork somewhere about how many were ordered for each type/format, and how many made it to distribution. IIRC the story that the Korean seller had was something along the lines of those singles getting lost(?) in transit, and then being forgotten about. It was around the time of the Korean seller's eBay listings of PRT that the others left on continental Europe seemed to all surface - at which time I got mine. DGC (ect) was a business, there would have to be a paper trail to follow; And if the common story is that DGC employees were present to see the recalled cd singles getting destroyed (presumably to pay back the recipient for these copies) there should be paper work for that too - that all would be a really good start. EG: Order: 10,000 retail singles ordered; - 7,500 from Europe (German pressing) - 2,500 from UK 500 promo singles ordered - 250 from Europe - 250 from UK ---- Received and shipped; Retail singles: - 4,800 retail singles received from European pressing - 0 retail singles received from UK pressing
- 0 promo singles received from Europe - 250 promo singles received from UK
