The story (if I am correct):

A few copies surfaced of a white Sliver 7".
Rumours (still to be confirmed) stated that a bunch of white Test Pressings were made (though, normally test pressings are made in black).
Test Pressings are pressed normally not more than a few up to 20 or so.
Pretty rare item.

From all the Sliver 7"s, I believe the hardest to find will be the Promo (I have never seen one for sale).
And of course, the Red version, but this one is still a mystery - one copy known to exist.

I know the story, pedro. I never trust stuff that comes from ebay sellers. There is absolutely no reason white tps would be made. I agree it's really strange how these suddenly just appeared. I don't know why somebody was sitting on a box of these for so long...

A box full?
I thought there are only a handful in circulation.

You're reading too much into it. Smile How big is a box? It just makes sense that they were in a "box" rather than lying loose on the floor. Smile

Records usually come in small boxes (10~25-ish) again housed inside bigger boxes (which is probably the size you're thinking of) when shipping from the plant.

Whether they were in a box or a bag or on the floor is not the point though. SOMEONE had these for quite some time without doing anything with them. I remember when they first surfaced, you could get it fairly cheaply for a short time. Didn't Beerstain channel some of these?

Would be interesting to know if they came from someone at Sub Pop or from someone at the pressing plant...

You are right, the story is slightly strange. Smile
But, on the other hand, what panda lovers know about collecting Nirvana?
